What exactly is a Backload?
Backloads are very common practice within the removal industry. To put it simply, we make use of any excess space left over for smaller, less urgent jobs and offer a discounted rate to customers for this space.
As an example a driver was going from Melbourne to Sydney in a 60m3 removalist truck, and had a customer booked in that took up 50m3 of the space in the truck, they would then look for a backload job to fill up the last 10m3 of space left in the truck, and offer that customer a discounted price to move to Sydney on their upcoming trip.
We also utilise the backloading method for return journey, as it is common for drivers to be able to fill themselves up when leaving Melbourne, but they often struggle to fill up when returning from Sydney.This is where we come in and help secure customers space and drivers extra work for their trip.

Interstate Moving Tips and Advice
Newspaper is fine for packing around items in the box to ensure a snug fit but be aware the newsprint will rub off on anything it touches so you need to use plain butchers paper to actually wrap your individual items.
Plan ahead, have a garage sale, get rid of any unwanted furniture and old things you will never use.
Make sure all sharp edges on your tools or attachments are wrapped to prevent injury. Pack your power tools with plenty of cushioning, and tape or tie your tool chests securely.
