Moving During School Holidays

These times are very busy in the removals industry so we do suggest early bookings to secure dates

Moving During School Holidays

Christmas and Holiday Furniture Removals

For those who have not moved before at this time of year, please be aware that all removalists refer to this time, as “The Busy.”

This is due mainly to the school year starting in January, and also a lot of new jobs begin in the New year.

Because public servants, teachers, and many others have no choice but to move at the end of a school year, it is a very popular, but extremely busy time of year.

My suggestion as always to people choosing to move at this time of year is to make their choice of removalist sooner, rather than later.

The key to a successful and stress-free removal during this period is organization.

Remember to get your quotes sorted, make a decision and book you removalist early.

With Moving Again, you can always fine tune your quote as you get closer to your move but start your enquiry soon, while we are generally not booked out, as still bookings can only be made on a first come first serve basis…

This is applicable for all significant Holiday periods; Easter is also quite a favourite time to move for the same reason. People try to hold off till Easter thinking that things will be cheaper. Usually they are, but because they’re a bit cheaper the trucks are just as busy.

If the holiday period is when you’re planning to arrange your move for, then start as soon as possible, the earlier, the better. It’s never too early to prepare if you need specific dates or have some individual requirements.

Do I need removalist insurance?

If you are moving a long distance, then you should consider removalist insurance. You would not drive your car without insurance; you have home contents insurance, maybe even you have health insurance

When moving interstate there are always inherent risks involved, so please do check all your options. If you’re putting items in storage - get coverage, to protect against loss or damage. You want to enjoy your new home. Not mourn the loss of expensive furniture or belongings. Moving insurance is your answer.
